VolkerWessels is a leading international listed construction company with over 16,000 employees. It has over 120 local operating companies each having their own identity and culture. Next to the tight labour market conditions VolkersWessels has always been very modest regarding brand awareness. So: work to do! The challenge was clear: come up with one employer story to create awareness.

With several interviews throughout the company we went searching for common grounds: what connected those 16,000 people? What sets them apart from their competitors? Why are they working at VolkerWessels? Upon these findings we developed the employer brand storyline. From the perspective of 4 employees the story reveals the cornerstones of VolkerWessels. All different, but for the same purpose: Maak Morgen Mogelijk (Making Tomorrow). The main characters covered 4 recruitment target groups and also were edited to use separately for these groups. We worked with real people from VolkerWessels to get real stories.

During the 6 production days we filmed on skates through Rotterdam center, in the forests on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, from Amsterdam’s most beautiful viewpoint and with our boots deep down in the dirt. VolkerWessels, nice to meet you!
